The deadpan website copy (yes, the Big Mama Thornton bit) is part of the act; this is an agency that takes the work seriously and itself a lot less so. The honest read on any hot shop is that provocation is a high-wire act, the same instinct that produces breakout hits can occasionally court backlash.
